A. Standard safety device
1. Short phase and error phase protection
If the short phase and error phase has been detected, the escalator will stop automatic;
2. Motor over-heat protection
When the current exceeds 15% of the rated current, the escalator will stop automatic;
3. Electrical safety loop protection
A automatic circuit disconnecting device to protect the safety loop and electrical parts;
4. Handrail entrance protection
A Safety device that stop the escalator if a movement of the handrail entrance is detected due to an foreign object.
5. Comb-step impact device
A safety device that stop the escalator if a horizontal or vertical movement of a comb is detected due to an entrapped foreign object or the impact from the external forces;
6. Missing step device/step up thrust device
A safety device that stops the escalator if it detects a missing part of the steps before it is visible to passengers.
7. Drive chain safety device
A safety device that stops the escalator if the drive chain breaks or stretches beyond an allowable limit;
8. Step chain safety device
A safety device that stops the escalator if the step chain breaks or stretches beyond an allowable limit;
9. Over Speed governor
A safety device that stops the escalator if the speed significantly decreases or increases to 120% of the rated speed;
10. Reversal stop device
A safety device that stops the escalator if the unintentional reversal of the movement direction;
11. Security line
Yellow painting at the step three sides. The step demarcation lines have the purpose to enable passengers to ss more easily where the step edges and allowing them to stand safety on the tread and improving their safety.
12. Emergency stop button
A button to immediately stop the escalator In emergency situations;
13. Skirt guard safety device
A safety device to stops the escalator if a shoe or other item becomes trapped in the gap between the step and skirt guard;
14. Electromagnetic brake
A safety device that stops the escalator in the cast of power failure, or if any safety device or emergency stop button has active;
15. Inspection switch
The switch active before maintenance work;
16. Step gap lighting
It is installed at the landing under the comb segments to aid passenger when boarding or disembarking;
17. Alarm device
The alarm rings when start the escalator, in order to remind the passengers;
18. Handrail broken monitor device
A safety device to stops the escalator when detects the handrail broken during the movement;
19. Handrail speed safety device
Handrail speed monitor. This monitors the speed of the handrails ad stops the escalator if the handrail speed is 15% faster or slower than the step speed for a period exceeding 2 seconds;
20. Overload detection devie
A safety device that stops the escalator if overload has beed detected by abnormal current or temperature of the drive motor;
